- Blood Collection and Donor Management
- Donor counselling and motivation to encourage blood donation.
- We collect blood from blood donors
- We organize blood donation camps in the community.
- Blood donation in a congenial environment with facility of post-donation counselling
- Availability of blood donor registry for both positive & negative group patients
- Transfusion Transmitted Diseases Screening: Donated blood is screened for Transfusion Transmitted diseases like HIV l & ll, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis oral Malaria as per NACO Guidelines
- Blood Grouping and Typing: Blood Bank determine the blood groups (A, B, AB, and O) and Rh factor for the patients
- Blood is separated into its various components like Packed RBCs, Plasma and Platelets for use according to patient needs.
- Blood and its components are stored under specific temperature conditions to maintain viability.
- Blood Bank issue blood and blood components to patients in need ensuring proper labelling and tracking after performing compatibility testing (Cross matching) to ensure safe transfusion.
